There is a media blackout of all the humanitarian aid the church does. They do everything they can to raise awareness for aid government gives, but when it comes to the church, the only thing they report is a sex scandal. As a result, you get stupid people saying republicans only care about people before they are born.

To top it off, some even say that donations to the church dont count as charity.

My issue isn't that trump was racist 30 years ago it's that he's been a racist for the last 30 years

If the Virginia governor supports police abuse and brutality against minorities and the trampling of rights I dont like him any more than i like trump. I'm not married to Democrats I just dislike them less as a party than Republicans. For reasons that I state daily

the point isnt that people should be held accountable for mistakes from decades ago, the point is that the democrats in these virginia cases dont hold their own people to the same standard that they constantly demand from everyone else.
they constantly demand that every glimmer of racially insensitive behavior, no matter from how far in someone's past, is disqualifying, they constantly demand to believe female accusers in #metoo-cases, no matter how much or how little proof there is.

once applying those standards, which they pretend to champion, would carry the risk of losing political power, as is the case in Virginia, they all of a sudden and oh-so-surprisingly want none of it.

I welcome white Republicans and Democrats that were racist or racially insensitive to not be those types of people anymore. You're right Democrats should be careful how they conduct themselves and how to attack others. Republicans should also stop harboring racists and playing gotcha with Democrats
