I remember in my younger days the conservative party in Canada released an attack ad against a liberal prime minister ( chretien ) ... basically insulting his looks and speech impediment ( he had some form of palsy that left him partially paralyzed ).

It enraged me pretty bad even as a young lad....

Now I laugh it off and realize personal attacks are the hallmark of someone who has no basis of argument ...
