I've talked to a half dozen liberals who have tried to explain to me today how this cold snap was caused by climate change, to my repeated face palms.
My go-to line for shutting down people who don't understand climate change but insist on having strong opinions on it is to simply ask them if they understand the difference between adaptation and mitigation and how the government tackles each, without googling it. If they can't pass that minimum bar, they can go sit in a corner or something. I think I might get the right answer one out of ten times. Most of them have no clue what the USACE is to begin with.

Looks like Trump will have a chance in 2020 due to Howard Schultz. Wtf does this guy think he can do? There is no way he can win so why fuck the country? What a piece of shit. btw, climate change is real, deal with it knuckle draggers.

wait didnt you want more viable 3rd party options (outside of the sjw stuff Schultz is a self-made business person who is center-left but not beholden to the (D) machine that dicked over Barnie in 2016) or you just in the tank for the lefties cuz they subsidize your hgh cycles

of course it is real, but the extent that has to be expected is still not entirely clear; and what to do about it is something that isnt being discussed yet.

just to name an example, here in Germany, our braindead government has worked out a plan to shut down all our national coal power plants over the next 17 years - but they dont have a plan yet on how to replace those capacities which will be removed. in the end, we will probably import power produced in much less "clean" coal power plants in eastern europe, or nuclear energy produced in highly insecure power plants next to our border.

and of course our 20 or so coal power plants will be a drop in the ocean compared to the over 1400 coal power plants currently planned in china and india.

meanwhile, the green party and their heralds in our media shill for even more subsidies for solar power. so they want to shut down relatively modern coal power stations here and replace them with solar power in cloudy, rainy Germany, while tons of new and less clean/modern coal stations will go on stream in sunny india over the same timeframe.

it's really the total idiocy and incompetence. it's a textbook example of politics for the "feelz".

nice whataboutism / false equivalence combo, but some extreme weather events (including COLD spells) and particularly their (well documented) increasing occurence ARE indeed linked to manmade climate change.
i'm not an expert on alpine snowfall patterns, but heavy snows in the winter don't seem unusual to me at first glance - so they would have to document an unusual cumulation or severity to even talk about it in a context of climate change. then again, i haven't seen any of those articles, meaning i'll refrain from judging 'the german press' solely based on a claim you made - so please link me some of the articles where 'THE GERMAN PRESS' falsely links it to climate change. also, i'd be interested to learn what you think the "cause" is that they're trying to "help" by reporting falsely about it.

He wouldn't have run if the Democrats weren't so extreme. Their party needs to be destroyed and rebuilt because right now its Soros' bitch.
