She's young and cute and full of life and fun. She's good with social media and people can relate to her much more than the 300 year old rich corpses that sit stiff on cspan.
The tactic is to take this low level leftist and make her a much bigger deal than she is and for a while it's going to work. And then the next thing you know she is 45 with a decade and a half under her belt and the perception that she has been fighting for the people and against the ancient elites the entire time. Someone that grew up with social media. Someone that now has record of progressive thought in a country that is heading left of its long conservative reign and ideas no matter what you think of them. Someone that doesn't have decades of skeletons. Someone that knows how to charm. Someone that doesn't have to deal with the -I used to oppose group A B and C but now I dont because it looks bad- part of politics
