I like balanced governments and since Politicians rarely face the system of the people I don't really care if they investigate each other mainly because I think the checks and balances for people with money and power work

People with money and power not only have the resources to fight but to hold others accountable if the investigations are "witch hunts" through politics and the legal system they can afford to use to their advantage

That's not true, the only non-paid military group during the shutdown was the Coast Guard. The Republicans said that shouldnt have happened, and pushed to have the Coast Guard get paid. Democrats voted it down.

Not saying that I really agree with the shutdown to begin with.
However, I also don't agree with the Democrats not trying to compromise.

dont get me wrong, those are only the non-citizen voters who were idenfitifed, so that's only the tip of the iceberg, and I'm all for staying vigiliant when it comes to non-citizens committing voter fraud. but nonetheless, we shouldnt overhype or sensationalize stuff by omitting crucial information.

To the people propping this story up as more than it is.

They compared total green card holders since 96 to the voter registration list. It did not determine who was a US citizen and who was not. They just compared the records. Which means anyone that became naturalized and voted would still be counted under a previous green card holder. Another thing to note to the people pushing voter ID because of this story, a voter ID would not have prevented the DMV from registering these individuals to vote if they weren't supposed to because they provided legal paperwork.

Also, it's election fraud not voter fraud, they're not the same thing.

USCG should be moved under their new dpt funded by the DOD, imo.
I got really pissed when Schumer said what he did... but I disagree with the shutdown happening in the first place.
Both sides continued to work against each other, we got caught in the middle.
That being said, Schumer has no idea what he’s talking about or how the USCG works vs the civilian contractors or even the TSA.
We will get court martialed if we don’t show up, they won’t.
Do I like him? Not really.
Do you like every person in the Republican Party..?
Probably not.
For example: I wanted Sanders and McCain to come together as one person.
But I respect McCain more than sanders.
