Objectively it's a massive leap in insult at the expense of tribes that Warren didn't even claim to be a part of. Massacres by the government after genocide is too far by any reasonable standard. Setting the environment for this amount of coverage when a bunch of maga kids act douchey. I can tell you from a life of experience and a lot of contacts within indigenous protests and gatherings that this got so much coverage because of Trump and what he said.
Typically it's some social media posts, some texts, shitting on a guy many of us don't like already anyway. Mainstream ran with this because he created the story line. That doesn't make any of the wrongs right but as I'm always saying as a leader he has a responsibility and obligation to not fuel these fires that he is constantly and needlessly fueling.
