yes, the results were that some people had some discomfort, but nothing serious. hence the conclusion that theyre not harmful. it takes a special type of stupid to reinterpret something to support your position when it literally says the exact opposite. no one says that masks are not without some discomfort. but that doesnt mean that they shouldnt be worn or that theyre ineffective.
(and again, this study was with n95's, the surgical masks / cloth coverings recommended for the average person will have even less discomfort.
the very study you linked which says it is dismissive of it, hence why they conclude that there is no physiological harm in wearing a mask.
so you choose to be cherry picking avoiding the real issue.
your challenge
" if masks were actually harmful it would have been discovered before now. find me one source that predates covid that says masks are harmful. protip: you cant because they arent. "
challenge meet
a paper from 2013
page 1 at the top of the page. right before the area you cherry picked.
excerpt:
Results:Most nurses (90%, n¼9) tolerated wearing respiratory protection for two 12-hour shifts.CO2levels increased significantly compared with baseline measures, especially when comparing anN95 with a surgical mask to only an N95....
It was right in front of your face and you wouldnt address it, twice?!
BTW two 12 hour shifts is nothing compared to what people are now being forced to do.
