schedule-wise, what are your specific plans for how you will follow the coverage on election night?

Do you expect it to be an all-nghter where states could be called at 3am?

Do you expect to flip between TV channels? If so, which channels? Or do you expect to be using some internet source to follow the up-to-the-second calls?

I realize there's a good chance I'll go to bed on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning without knowing who won. But is there a chance that important swing states like Pennsylvania or Florida could be called by 10pm EST? What is the first swing state that is likely to be called?

i will probably follow the NYT website because their interactive dashboard was incredible in 2016. I give their team huge props on that.

Will probably just take the day off before and after, have a nice meal and watch coverage on some independent/neutral network.

2016 was wild because everyone knew who won by like 10 pm eastern time, but the (D) candidate refused to concede until 3 am, when President Obama called her up and told her to put the bottle down for 5 minutes and call Trump to concede

unless its a blowout either way or the SC takes appeal cases on in the next 10 days we will be waiting at least 3 days after the election for PA and MI to finish counting.

I'm gonna be pissed if it comes down to those states b/c I'll be on vacation a couple days after the election. Hopefully, Trump loses Florida on election night or Biden loses Wisconsin and we can just move on.

let's just go down the road (hypothetically) of "it's a blowout either way". Time-wise, what would that look like? How early could relevant states start getting called?

Putting the official concession aside, is there a chance that at like 3am, enough votes are counted to allow "everyone to know who won"? Or does the counting process not really continue throughout the middle of the night like that?

im not versed on that, but FL, NC, and OH should lead the way around 7-8 PM eastern. Those three should let us know how it’s trending

yeah sure, if one candidate is up by like 5-10% in enough swing states that should be enough

its going to.. i dont know why you’d think otherwise. im taking those days off too but it’s for home improvement projects, finally i got some materials to be delivered lol

Florida i think will be clear election night, same with IA/NC/OH etc., but PA/WI/MI are going to be disasters with their incompetence at the state leadership level
