im all for a tiered tax system in theory (ie: i dont mind paying higher rates on income earned above a certain level) but 55.9% over $65k would be absurd in the US

i’d prefer flat, but that’s a nonstarter in today’s economic environment

taking more than half of what someone earns just sends a bad message “no we get to keep more of what you make than you do”

works in Denmark which is smaller population-wise (and significantly diverse) than most of the top-10 sized US cities when accounting for metropolitan area, here ehh not so much

50& at 500k-1mil+ would be about where I'm comfortable. 65k? Get outta here with that BS.
