William Barr confirmation hearing. The guy is refreshingly succinct. He doesn't seem like someone who will interfere in the Mueller investigation.

I am wondering when Mueller releases his report if Barr has the power to redact any of it prior to the public gaining access. Going even further I wonder if he has the power to not act on something in the report when he should based on the law.

he will most certainly have the ability to redact info, he may even be able to hand it to Trump to ask him what he want's redacted, as far as the public goes. but Congress should see just about anything on there with enough security clearance. i would guess at least the members of certain committees.

as to the second part it's not going to have anything that black-white imo. the same way that cops can not guarantee that a DA opens up a case based on their investigations, they can only recommend charges. As the FBI undoubtedly did with HRC, which were declined.

I don't know if he has the power to, but Barr has vowed for as much transparency as possible. And if Mueller tries to subpoena or indict a certain person, and Barr says no, Congress will be notified at the end of the investigation.

I'm encouraged by Barr's testimony... he's friends with Mueller, he's made a commitment to let the investigation conclude, and he doesn't strike me as someone who gives a damn about protecting Trump.

Now the question is... how many weeks until Trump starts shit talking him on twitter?

I'm only half listening, but I believe this exact question was asked, and Barr said he would not do that.
