Kind of interesting, but it's actually ineffective at reducing murder.
However, there's more dimensions to it.
Cost of keeping prisoners alive + appeal process, and just how a person feels about the morality of the issue.
What lifelong prisoners do for society, etc.
Not saying I disagree with you.
