There are different types of racism

There is the ignorant and insensitive mocking of the pain and mistreatment of others (Trump also guilty of this)

Then there is decades of supporting abuse of minorities through the legal system. Trampling of minority rights.

I don't know what the governor's record is on this but I know what Trumps is. One of the worst kinds of racists

Kind of interesting, but it's actually ineffective at reducing murder.

However, there's more dimensions to it.
Cost of keeping prisoners alive + appeal process, and just how a person feels about the morality of the issue.
What lifelong prisoners do for society, etc.

Not saying I disagree with you.
