they wage a war on christian beliefs, values and traditions. their support for the cultural backwardness of the muslim culture, as perplexing as it might seem at first glance, is perfectly consistent with this.
that's also why they see a "rape culture" on college campuses, with white privileged boys as the perpetrators, yet support the mass import of the very men who invented "taharrush gamea" (gang rapes on wide open public places) and were socialized in an environment where any women who's not wearing a veil and/or not accompanied by a male family member is considered fair game.
at the end of the day, the "cultural/identity" left just hates western society and its white and christian cultural imprint. therefore, they support just about everything that undermines it, be it the deconstruction of "family values", christian belief, its ethnic and cultural homogeneity, its industrial basis (production, fossile energy), its infrastructure (energy, individual mobility), its education system (AA, quotas, inclusion, transgender bathrooms in elementary schools), its structural basis (merit principle, individual responsibility) and so on and on.
