imagine how many people could have dinner with all that food
but that would be counter-productive to the will and agenda of the empire
without the indigent, without the desolate souls who once had but never to again have hope, for anything.... if most people were on equal footing... how would spenditures on policing, on wasteful social programs, on advertising of said programs, on makeshift solutions etc how would they all get funding approval? how would the stipends be approved without the severe and immediate 'concern' of people being in desperate need
