...haha , I remember when the Vikings were actually a good team...I don't think you were even born yet but trust me they were pretty good
The vikings should have beaten the Dirty Birds, who went on to win the superbowl. One of the better offenses of that decade. Then we went to the NFC championship game under Favre. Not sure how these teams don't qualify as "good", unless your definition involves sustainability. The Vikings have never been able to build a solid team over a 5 year span.

  looks like old "soft balls" got off scott free.. How can one sports team generate such hate from every other market?
I remember in the early '70 when the Raiders were a dirty nasty team Kenny Stabler was the QB but the Def. was known for cheap shots. and late hits, But other markets didn't hate them like people hate the Pats.
yeah when Minn. had Tark. at QB. they were OK...
People hate the pats because they're cheaters in a sport where cheating isnt acceptable. If it was baseball people would laugh it off. If the pats lost consistently people would laugh it off. But if you win consistently in football while cheating people hate you. The saints had the same exact stain when they were producing. Now look at them, people dont even care that they are a dirty team because they struggle for 8-8 seasons. Dont get me wrong though, i think the pats only cheat slightly more than the other NFL teams, and only because their coach is more crafty than other coaches.
