Yeah, sorry, I was sloppy phrasing it. What I meant is: those teachers from schools in rural districts who volunteer to carry a gun at school will mostly be gun-owners anyway. I didnt mean that some female teachers who never owned a gun and dont feel comfortable handling guns should now carry one at their school.
And even if females make up a majority of teachers and male teachers might tend to lean left as well, there will be at least one or two gun-owners among the teaching staff of a rural school, and that's enough.
agreed that part especially phrases it best.

I agree, but i've met some women that when I had to qualify for a pistol course, were easily outshooting me and a lot of the other men. I'm by no means good, but some of those women were amazing. Course, i also agree that this definitely isnt the majority. I don't think a lot of those women likely pursue the teaching profession. So, it's an outlier.
However, it really doesn't matter how many, moreso as just being qualified. I do think that in most cases it would be males wanting to carry. But, it's all personal decision. Having one qualified person carrying is a potential advantage.
I just think it would be great to give those qualified people the option.
I agree and think there should be a training course that's situation specific. if we're gonna do it lets do it proper.
