to make sure I understand you correctly: when polled, most registered republicans say that they approve of the job trump is doing. your argument is that a lot of them actually dont approve of his actions and only choose this answer out of partisan loyalty, right?
so... theory A is that people say they approve of the job he's doing because they actually like the job he's doing, as hard to believe as this might be for some. :o
theory B is that these people dont like what he's doing, but lie to defend him when polled so that the media doesnt get to paint the guy (whose actions they dont like anyway) in a negative light.
I mean... what you say is not impossible, and there are certainly a few such cases of never-trumper-gop-loyalists. But, sorry, I'll go with theory A and assume that the clear majority of those republicans saying they approve of his job really mean it.
i said it as plain as day, the polls a binary and not an aggregate of questions asking if they like his specific policy and rhetoric. such a test would reveal they're not actually as approving as the binary would suggest

He also doesnt realize the survey works the same for the converse opinion as well, balancing it out according to probability...
that's irrelevant. 2 stats that are equally unrepresentative of any truth dont have any effect on each other. both stats are bloated, but that's not balance in this sense. im not claiming dems have more support and their stat is more representative, otherwise you'd have a point. isn't dealing with centrists hard?
