I changed my mind
I hadn't actually bothered to read/listen to what Philips had to say
naw, fuck him, he was straight up lying. That wasn't some misunderstanding / misreading of the situation. He consciously chose to smear these kids.
Watching the video, there's no way he could possibly have felt like he was 'blocked' or in an 'ugly' situation. He walked right into it, he walked right up to the kid and banged the drum in his face. He could have turned around and left at any moment, and the characterization of "beast and prey" is utterly absurd. That's not the words of someone who just stumbled in and made a wrong snap judgment call, that's pure bullshit. He wasn't trying to 'finish a song' and nobody was blocking his retreat, he had to go far out of his way to approach them.
That was a part in our article as well, it being a publicity stunt. With a camera blazing in, the camera man trying to troll, being provocative, laughing while doing it, makes it seem so. Dunno if you've seen the vid of Natan approaching the more timid member of the group from the right angle. That vid doesn't bode well for the probable cause of looking for publicity. However the reason for doing so, making the snap decision to engage this group for media attention, does have a high chance of Natan having preconceptions of a MAGA cap group, gathering on a Native American event. I can somewhat understand why, as Trump is the opposite of having an inclusive society for everyone, and the cap stands for supporting the vision of the current government.
I'd say that it's gonna be a valuable lesson for Natan to not judge too soon.. Probably a good one for us all at this time. And yes, the kids seems like good kids, meaning no harm, actually laughed at some of the interations and wasted to much time on this clickbait.
