It's videos like this that confirm to me that Trump is not playing 4d chess. Chuck Schumer went into this media spectacle with one objective: to get Trump to personally own the government shutdown if it occurs. As soon as he succeeded in doing that, he didn't have anything else to say. Trump took the bait.
