And yet its the same token- Republicans said that theres no whistleblower law protecting Ciaramella and he went through unauthorized channels, and Democrats said he should be protected anyway and that hes still a whistleblower. They gushed about the dangers he faced from Trump supporter threats and retaliation for coming forward. Wouldn't it be immensely hypocritical for someone like Adam Schiff to say that this guy who is coming forward with knowledge of crimes by a government official is not technically a whistleblower and shouldn't be protected despite already facing repeated death threats and stalking?
there's a difference in protections here/
"Voldemort" only has his name protected by policy of the IC. to your point, he was also being protected from even testifying in a classified setting. that is Schiff's work and anyone sensible already knows why. it's also not a common protection
Shekh has already put their name out, although he's not protected by the IC's policies even if he didn't. if he wanted to remain anonymous, "the press" would have to honor that request for it to happen.
he is protected by the U.S. constitution if he is a U.S. citizen.
also, both Shekh and Voldemort have listed "rumor", until proven to be fact.
i want to expand on this but i have to rush to work. this statement is incomplete
