One hilarious thing about today's politics is how emasculated Republican politicians have become. They are basically all Trump's bitches.

Watching them walk the tightrope between "this election is a referendum on Trump, i need to move center to keep votes" and "Trump's base is over half my Republican voters, can't poke the bees nest" is really a thing of glory. better yet the morons in 2018 who didn't realize primary politics differ from a presidential election year that were still pounding the Trump drum only to hemorrhage votes.

I think we're gearing up for a Beto vs Harris showdown in 2020 for the DNC, should be fun to see how the tightrope plays into that.

lastly, take note of the disappearance of the term "never trumper" from the lexicon. the right used this as a vote grab to try and secure seats in anti-Trump districts, but even the Rand Paul's of the game have distanced themselves from being inherently anti-Trump. John McCaine likely died the last Never Trumper, at least until 2020.

And to make matters even more embarrassing, many of these same Republicans were very critical of Trump during the GOP primary process in 2015 and 2016. I get that it's all politics...but you'd figure there would be a point of personal embarrassment and shame that most people wouldn't be willing to cross.
