more realistic: Trump delivers a warm, sincere eulogy, and the liberal media complains about "its lack of substance" or "the coldness and self-centeredness" in Trumps words, or about "the dishonesty in his eulogy - look at the following list of the 1001 times Trump has insulted the Bush family"

how is this more realistic when we have very very few examples op it and a significant amount of him not being able to handle simple tasks that most of the Presidents before him handled well?

Bush barely spoke his first language of English and people gave him props all the time for being able to handle a tough situation with class

This is how the media reacts when Trump acts like a real president. The media covers Trump the way they do because of what he does and the way he acts. If he acted in a more dignified and unifying way, he would get more favorable coverage.

That's incorrect. Democrats have been uncivil since 1970's at least. Even GHWB who had an approval rating of 98% was torn down by the shit media.

That's also the least Christian answer you could ever give. Unfair coverage just adds more fuel to the flame. If the coverage was fair it would be both healing for the country and hurtful for Trump. There's a big case that the media's failure is the only reason why Trump was voted in.

Fair enough. When it's undeniable that Trump did something well, they do acknowledge it. But give CNN et al. any wiggle room, and they will try to spin the story as negatively for Trump as they can.

haha sadly buzzfeed 2.0 aka cnn already did a “eulogy” for Pres GHWB (who many tried to implicate in the #metoo movement earlier this year) and spent most of it shrieking “orange man bad”

I think that was just CNN attempting to appear neutral. I don't think CNN is pro-left, I think they are more pro-establishment and pro-sensationalist. Hence the drooling and raving after the death of any person who has been in Washington for 20+ years and their non-stop coverage of Trump.

CNN is obviously filled with people who are Democrats, of course, but many of them desperately try to appear moderate at almost every opportunity they have, which actually hurts their coverage in my opinion. And they are more sensationalist than anything, with their incessant use of "breaking news."

CNN actually salivates at the opportunity to praise Trump because it offers them the chance to "reset" and appear like they are impartial.

As an addition to CNN: People tend to think of these cable news companies as some gigantic monolith of opinion and message. I would agree that yes, the majority of people that appear on CNN are generally Democratic (and they try to offset this by putting Trump mouthpieces on...but that's a separate issue), but each individual is expressing their own opinion and pursuing their own interests, not acting on behalf of some CNN campaign to remove Trump from office.

Van Jones is actually one of my favorite guests on CNN. I think he delivers good, honest points. He's not afraid to speak how he truly feels, and I do think your point point about the President behaving like a real president typically results in favorable coverage is true. In fact, I think that bar is set lower for Trump than almost any other modern president.

I don't care for Jones but I'll never stop finding all those years Glenn Beck spent obsessed about his weak sauce ass being the anti-christ around Obama the Kenyan with deep dark ties to the boogeymen of the world hilariously pathetic

Its far worse than that. No one working at CNN voted for Trump. If they did they would be fired.
