it's okay to take it with a grain of salt, but i wouldn't throw it out entirely.

anyway, there are 2 key things i'm looking at that throw me off.


if it's someone in position to know it's a sensitive matter and that the goal is to "cast doubt on the integrity of the vote", they would know that the leak specifically would "cast doubt on the integrity of the vote". unverified leaking on a sensitive matter...


if there is one useful thing that could be leaked to the public... it would be "who". are they claiming this is direct order from Putin? general Kremlin agenda? or are these some "Russian Bots"... from Florida??

anyway, if it's Putin's agenda to instill as much chaos as possible to the country... it would make sense to back Trump via "unnatural" channels. it would look sketchy no matter how innocent.
if that is his goal though, he found a good puppet to leak selective but broadly defined info to help "cast doubt" on a "sensitive" matter.

I'll sit here and wait for Adam Schiff to protect this whistleblower

not really a whistleblower though. all that person did was re-link a NYP article.(which would make it kind of funny if so) or was there something i'm not finding? (there's not much outside of FB)

I'm not sure you understand. He is one of multiple whistleblowers from the Somali community in Minnesota that told journalists about Ilhan Omar's marriage fraud scandal, which is how we learned about it in the first place. This guy is the only one who has been willing to come forward and identify himself publicly, because Ilhan's campaign actually sent a guy with a triple stabbing conviction (her 'enforcer') door to door in the neighborhood saying they must find and remove the whistleblowers. This whistleblower was already doxxed online by pro-Omar Somalis who were making death threats on him, so he had nothing to lose coming forward at this point.

He didn't re-link a NYP article, he gave an interview to the Daily Mail, and the NYP reposted the Daily Mail content, that's the new article from yesterday. The powerlineblog link there is from after he was being threatened

well, that definitely makes this figure more prominent than i was reading him to be.

still, i think "whistleblower" is a bit of a stretch. even if you want to tag the title to him, his protections are different from whistleblowers within the IC. the only thing protecting this guy is the Bill of Rights, and that's pending who's reading it.
the "Voldemort" whistleblower from the Ukraine crap, is alleged to use proper channels to bring the claim to light. (i know that's a bit false since he reportedly went to Schiff's office first)

that is kind of the thing though. even Snowden isn't technically a "whistleblower", he's a leaker of classified information. even if we are happy to see the info revealed, it was brought out through improper channels and he will be punished by law if he comes back to USA.
Shekh is just another person giving info to the press that can't be verified without investigation. (not saying it's bad or that the info shouldn't be released, just saying protections are different)
