It's just a lie if he says the german gov did nothing. As you already stated correctly 300millions where instantly given and around 30billion where provided. Yes, it's a pain in the ass to get to that money for some people, especially the elderly, the bureaucracy is insane in Germany and something needs to change. But you can't just say the Gov did nothing.

i understand this. but the guy said the government did NOTHING which is factually wrong. Also the military didn't just show up on their own.
The money is there but there are other problems. Like not enough construction material, not enough craftsmen. Not enough experts to report on the damages. Some people also didn't file for the money.
