Can you tell me a single person you've had a "good conversation" with in the past year over a subject on which you've disagreed?

I've had like a dozen in the last month. I haven't seen you have it in like, three years a least. The best you could get was the Flynn threads where your constant lieing about the state of affairs was constantly called out and you kept digging your heels in.

btw, I decided not to respond because you've made it clear you're not interested in doing anything but parroting propaganda. There's no point in continuing the conversation when one party isn't approaching the subject honestly. (hint, that's you).

Also, I've never claimed to have an in-depth knowledge of the subject. But I know enough to recognize propaganda and bad-faith arguments. You don't even know the difference between methods and theories. (i.e. Structuralism vs CRT). If you really studied this at the graduate level you need to get your money back.

What you dislike is propaganda, and there's no reason to rebut it, because it's not true. How do you know? Because it's propaganda. I'm sure that Youtube video by your favorite demonetized channel told you all there is to know.

I can't think of anyone else I've had a bad conversation with. But this is a really boring conversation. If this board means that much for your emotional health, good for you. I'm just not that interested. Listening to you talk about how "...I tell Black when he's dishonest" is cringeworthy.

For reference, though, you're trying to be pedantic (bold) with respect to something which you don't understand.

What a pathetically weak claim. It's basically just another version of "but everything is just opinion maaaaan", said with more words.

I know it's propaganda because it's easily debunked with even the most basic knowledge of the field, and it's being repeated by all the usual suspects, Fox News, Breitbart, etc.

You couldn't even give me a short summary of the theory last week and yet you were parroting almost word for word the criticisms from those usual suspects.

we know. no one here is interested in entertaining someone who looks like a stale half of a wonderbread loaf, yet demands that minorities, legal immigrants, and women must listen to some insane theory of a rant about how “integration is bad”. because ‘people like yourself’ randomly can “take away their agency and self-determination”

tbf, people should definitely avoid sociopaths in training like yourself. fortunately you mark yourself with wearing 4 masks alone in your car you didnt pay for.

do NOT pm me again about your personal life looking for approval. and LMAO whats with the “get your money back” quip? you arent even paying your contractual debt, you lifelong taxpayer leech.

You were asking a different user for a "short summary" on a wide topic, which is a dumb thing to ask, and which I was kind enough to point out. But in addition, I provided you with a few bullet points on what your average person is concerned about.

As you would say, you're being dishonest. But that's par for the course with you. You are projecting your toxic behavior on other people.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. I know if I were so easily manipulated id need to find as many excuses too. Its just easier being honest, FYI. You should try it sometime.

Coming from the person who repeatedly has to remind himself (and others - as some sort of validation seeking?) how many "good conversations" he has had in here.. Pretty rich

Personally I think you ought to take bogie's advice from #258

Dismissing criticism because you deem it as propaganda is really convenient and it definitely doesn't get anywhere with having an honest conversation with someone..

Recognizing propaganda is really easy if you practice. You should try it. The Republican party boogeyman of the week is a great way to practice.

But just like everything else, you have to first acknowledge you can be fooled. That's the hard part

Honest question: do you actually acknowledge that you, too, can be fooled? When was the last time you realized and/or admitted to yourself that you had been fooled or fallen for propaganda?

You really give off the impression of someone who thinks all people around him are gullible fools, but thinks of himself as too smart to fall for propaganda, confirmation bias or being manipulated.

Last night talking to proccy about Bill C16. We looked it up together and I had misremembered some parts.

Unlike you I'm actively looking for when I'm misremembering or I am wrong. I almost always actively Google the subject I'm arguing for refreshment as I'm arguing it and I will often type whole posts just to delete them when I find contradictory evidence

That's not being fooled. Don't use an internal example for an external interaction (being fooled).
