Michael Forest Reinoehl, who killed Portland Trump supporter Aaron Danielson, died in Lacey, Wash. My sources are telling me U.S. Marshalls went to arrest him.

Cops need to be suspended until an investigation is complete. The Portland shooter was acting in self-defense.

Police were monitoring him with an unmarked van, and apparently officers (presumably uniformed) converged on his house and he came out firing a rifle at them, they returned fire and took him down

so uh, without delving into conspiratorial minded stuff
one thing that does stick out here is that the NYT were the first to report this and had an instant inside scoop while local reporters were playing catch-up
I think what might have happened is since this was a US marshals operation, the DoJ tipsters who are in contact with NYT reporters let them know about the raid in advance
it didn't take place at his home or other locations related to him directly, but an arrest warrant was issued earlier in the day and a gofundme organizer trying to set up a fund for him (despite being explicitly against the no-people-accused-of-violence rule) was on the phone with him just an hour before he got got
