Definitely. I always look to millionaire athletes for deep sociopolitical content.

Kaepermick is a clever guy. His career as a starting quarterback was over, injuries, declining athleticism and an inability to read the field had taken its toll. So he started a protest for publicity and leveraged it into a profitable brand.

Cool story. You're literally commiting a textbook ad hominem. "He didn't do it for the right reasons so it's wrong" or "He wasn't genuine, he was using it as leverage for money so it's wrong".

Unless you're going to now admit that he was right, in which case you're muddying the waters by bringing up things unrelated to the issue.

so you are against peaceful protests is what i gather.

what would your idea of a peaceful protest be? Should we all gather with guns and storm a state capital building? or how about we do that at the precinct? would you join if that was organized?

something tells me these guys got a whole lot of participation medals when they were younger and it has addled their brains into thinking that what they are experiencing right now is "winning".

This is horseshit. If you remove the controversy around him, he would have been given multiple opportunities. Not a single team was willing to even consider approaching him to sign and there has been former execes who have said as much they were strongly directed by the NFL to not seek any interest in him.

The latest fiasco last season with the workout was all smoke and mirrors but he was essentially canned out of the NFL because of his social stand and not because he wasn't good enough. You telling me someone like Tyrod Taylor is more talented than Colin?

Stop spinning shit that doesn't make no sense. Kaepernick was condemned out of the NFL. We all know it and you know it.
