Just to clarify: you're right that a basic level of differentiation should be upheld between the deranged TDS and cultist crowds on the one side, and those with wellfounded criticism or support for Trump on the other.

I'm only pointing out that the situation you describe is more common in reverse.

But you countered Thor's affirmation of your criticism with an accusation grouping him in with unfair critics of Trump. You could've just acknowledged that maybe some of Trump's critics were right about the guy, but you went into defensive mode and treated Thor unfairly.

Thor was the one who started the grouping thing when he wrote "literally what we've said since day 1". I understood the 'we' in this context to mean "we the critics of trump".

My reply was intended to say "a ton of criticism has been leveled at trump, and while plenty of it proved true, there's also plenty of criticism which was unfair or dead wrong, so you shouldnt feel too vindicated".
I should have chosen clearer and less snappy words to get this point across.
