i dont think the media can handle the quagmire that is the middle east in real time. Syria is a mess still, Israel and Palestine are quarreling, Iraq seems somewhat onboard with sanctions on Iran but is likely aiding them behind closed doors, 2 powers in the region beefing but in a satellite country, ISIS vs Al Queda vs State military etc.
the average person in the US sadly doesn't know enough in their knowledge base to make sense of what a war in Yemen means nor who if anyone we should root for to win it. The media has tried for decades to just call for peace, and it hasn't done much.
gotta sub to /r/worldnews and browse BBC world to get even a sniff of this shit, no where on any big media's page.
