Carlson is america's highest viewed news show, but he's expensive. even if they can only get 50% of the viewers with a new host they can likely pay them 10% of Tucker's salary. they've been waiting for a while to oust him because cable news is a dying business and they need to downsize. they did it for years with pretty blond anchors, as soon as they built a name and brand for themselves they were out. O'Reilly wanted to much cash and he was replaced.

these stories are being used as an excuse, "he's anti trump", "he's anti fox news", "he's anti women", etc etc etc. all of these could easily have been ignored if he was worth the money, and he's not.

eh. i dont think he can. Tucker got $20m per year.

He might be able to build a Rumble/Youtube/Patreon brand of his own that makes that much or more in gross income, but the cost to him will be pretty big for a start up. cameras, studio, editing, admins, web design, etc.

If he's smart IMO he'll just make a 1 camera weekly show where he does his fox show, talking at a camera, very little editing, film it and upload. sell some cheap merch, and enjoy retirement.

can you elaborate? how can he make "significantly more" than being the best paid host on the largest "news" channel in america? i think if it was that easy, he would have left on his own...

if he wanted to hurt faux, he'd join a competing right wing outlet (oann / daily wire) and i'm sure he'd draw a large part of his viewer base to them - but neither of them could pay him even remotely what he got on faux.
i have a feeling that's not his ambition though, i think he will go into politics, maybe even run for president while making "commentary" his side gig, the promotion of white nationalism his platform.

Most sane people would agree that both Russia & Ukraine are fucked up. Both of these countries have gone in a bad direction after the collapse of the USSR

yeah there is no way that Tucker can make more money now. Those primetime hosts get paid ridiculous amounts of money.

Not that it should matter, if Tucker wasn't dumb with his money he has far more than enough money to do anything he wants for the rest of his life
