Ohoh very funny, you are so good in posting gallons of off-topic bullshit.
You know muslims can be smart sometimes, they can even get flying lessons.

Have sources with proof or even claiming that Sanders tweeted a non altered video ? ^_^

You're right. I should probably spend my time arguing for 100 posts or so, whether or not someone altered a video of Acosta being and asshole.

Especially since we already have another topic about this...

he probably really believed his own hype, after all the support during the rallies leading up to the election, after beating his polls where it mattered in 2016, and so on. the problem is that there indeed was a "red wave": huge turnout and very high margins for republicans from rural counties all across the nation. what he failed to realize is that this "red wave" this time around - unlike in 2016 - would crash into a "blue wave" which proved to be stronger in the House. for perhaps the first time, he has to realize how much of a pushback and backlash there really is to him and his presidency.

he is permanently under siege by a hostile Washington DC press, but that's no surprise since DC has for a long time been leaning heavily democratic. and whenever he leaves DC for rallies across the country, he immerses himself in Red America, in his own little filter bubble. I think it is not too far fetched to assume that he really believed his rallies and "Red America" to be the 'true' America. I assume this notion stayed him and helped him endure the unrelenting torrent of negative feedback from the mainstream media and the washington political machinery.

to me it seems very plausible that he really considered reports about the #resistance and the blue wave to be overblown, just like the reports about clinton's inevitable triumph in 2016 were overblown.
so when the midterms arrived, he lost the house and there was indeed a blue wave in the cities and the suburbs, he was forced to finally acknowledge a harsh reality, his comfy little bubble was burst and now he has to cope with having to adjust his approach to running an administration, communicating with the public and perhaps also his platform.

coping with that kind of adversity is a test of character and maturity, and so far, it's not going too well....

There were articles on that pre-election, how Trump basically calling the blue wave bullshit at rallies would backfire, because it would make some of his voters complacent.

The point about the bubble is a good one... if you compare an hour of Hannity vs an hour of Anderson Cooper or Chris Matthews, it's almost like an alternate universe. I think many Trump supporting Americans have such a poor view of the mainstream media that they can't even distinguish between legitimate criticism and liberal bias anymore.

Sinema is official in AZ now. If the Florida recount goes to Nelson, the GOP will have picked up zero seats in the friendliest year they're likely to have for a decade.

Trump got BTFO.

even if nelson wins, which is HIGHLY unlikely as things stand right now, then it would still be one pickup for republicans, not zero. the far more likely scenario is R+2, and keep in mind that democrats in 2020 will have to hold on to a senate seat in Alabama against somone who is not Doug Jones. good luck with that.

so the current senate will most likely end up 53-47 for Republicans, and factoring in Alabama, the democrats will have to win 4 seats plus the WH, or 5 seats. when I look at the 2020 senate map, I dont see where they would pick those up. Collins in Maine, Gardner in Colorado, and perhaps the open seat race in Arizona - those are in reach for democrats. but they are not gonna win texas against an incumbent who is not ted cruz, i.e. the most unlikeable politician in all of congress, and they're not gonna win iowa in a year with trump at the top of the ticket. where do they want to win the fourth seat?

there's a good chance that the GOP holds the senate in 2020, even in scenarios where Trump gets defeated.

chances are high that the democrats wont regain unified control of federal politics before 2024.
