while im not sure wtf mela is getting at, lol, do you think "purifying" massive amounts of water for a fountain wont have ANY negative impacts on the environment? even if u have a perfect capture system to avoid ground water seepage you still have evaporation where the chemical compounds used to stop the water from going stagnant and keep animal and plant life out goes up into the clouds. how impactful is wasteful industrialization of water on the environment overall? who knows. but it's not zero.
