the point simply is that the AG or whoever else is overseeing an investigation like Mueller's does have, and should have, some discretion over the scope, funding and methods he grants to the investigation. the fact that the previous supervisor, Rosenstein, was lenient and allowed Mueller to investigate stuff far beyond the original scope of the investigation does not automatically make it illegal or illegitimate for his successor to keep Mueller on a shorter leash.

His scope was insanely broad. Hes allowed to investigate anything that comes up as a result of the first investigation.

thats my main gripe with the Mueller investigation: is it really justifiable for an investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to raid the office of Trump's personal lawyer Cohen over hush money that might have been paid to a porn star?

does something like this really fit into the original scope of the probe? or are moves like that just a dirty attempt at weaponizing the investigation against as many Trump allies as possible - in the hope of coercing them to reveal dirt on Trump, but also in an effort to make proximity to Trump toxic, so that Trump has a harder time finding or maintaining allies?

That's why it was handed off to SDNY, because it doesn't have anything to do with the Russia investigation. I find the talking point that Mueller is on some fishing expedition peculiar... he's not leaving any stones unturned but he's no Ken Starr.

please inform us then?

Just seems like every year, for the past like 8 years, California has been on fire pretty bad.

Other states have had bad seasons aswell, but just seems like California is every year bad fires.

Do you have some information you can share?

California has a pretty unique climate that makes it prone to wildfires unfortunately. Our state is dryer than most and we get strong winds which is a recipe for disaster. Often times, it's just something that you have to live with (similar to hurricanes in Florida and tornadoes in the midwest). California performs lots of controlled burns but outside of removing all vegetation, it's a part of life.

Also, even though a lot of these fires aren't "forest fires," it should be noted that the federal government controls 90%+ of California's forests. National parks like Yosemite (which had a massive wildfire earlier this year) are under federal jurisdiction.

Whatever information he provides will not include the fact that CA neglects to perform dry brush clearing to prevent the large-scale spread of fires.

No, it doesn't...it's been a priority for decades. It actually causes traffic problems because they do it so much.

Virginia/NC have the same ecology but they face far lower amounts of damage because they know how to handle fires. Part of it is that California is another sad case of lefty policy ruining everything.

How can a person just say stuff like this? Have you ever looked at a fucking map? When is the last time you saw a fucking 20 foot cactus in Virginia or a Redwood in North Carolina? The humidity is different, the amount of annual rainfall we get is different, and the fucking ocean currents are different. How are you this uneducated and/or willing to just make stuff up?

Man, maybe I need to enroll in gay conversion therapy or something. Trump's dick must really taste good.

I dont have a problem with that, the thing is, Trump is the one who made proximity to him toxic. Its been that way since the beginning and was one if the reasons why he couldnt fill appointments.

His personal lawyer is a legitimate target given their history together IMO. I don't think Mueller raided to get the hush money documents, i think that was secondary and was handed off to somebody else as Icemage said.

I appreciate your bravado. California does have drier weather areas but the difference in management can also be a factor. There are ways to reduce large scale brushfires with smaller controlled burns.
