his only qualification, the one that got him the victory, was "is not Le Pen".

also not fillon
also not hamon
also not mélenchon

you're completely ignoring the first round of elections that macron also won - against all the established parties btw. did you just not know that, or did you intentionally ignore it to make your idiotic claim?

I was talking about the second and final round.

I am aware of how the first round went. The social democrats got roflstomped into oblivion. Le Pen was still Le Pen. Fillion, the candidate of the establishment conservative party, had been looking like the heavy favorite to win it all until he was discredited by a big corruption scandal two months before the election. Melenchon had a surprisingly good showing, but he still came from a far-left fringe party with a small core base to rely on.

So in the end, it wasnt too surprising that the telegenic and articulate Macron, who somehow managed to run as a "conventional" candidate and an "outsider" at the same time, was able to win some 20+x% of the electorate against this field. And let's not forget that Macron was the media darling and had a lot of backing from the french functional and financial elites.

so you agree that 'not le pen' was not his 'only qualification'? because that 'qualification' was true for every candidate except le pen...
you can shit on his platform, his ideas, his intentions, his approach, his policy, and his ideology, you can disagree as much as you like - but to claim that the only appeal he had to his SUPPORTERS (which were plenty) was not being le pen is borderline retarded...

it was the main reason why he won the run-off against Le Pen. and this run-off is what I was talking about.

the 24% he got during the first round is probably a good upper bound for the size of his supporter base. (upper bound because he was running against a field consisting exclusively of flawed opponents.)

according to your feelings and which study / proof / supporting evidence exactly?

you are making some ridiculously general assumptions (and qualifiers that you clearly did not include in your original phrasing) here to defend your claim, but so far it's only opinion and obvious bias, no real arguments...

fair elections aren’t really fender aka heinrich’s thing. fires right before an election in 1933 was more of his song and dance especially as it set the stage for his ancestor to gain power

macron worked for Rotschield, was supported by people like Attali and all the liberals/NWO cosmopolits, his politic is as destructiv as what it would have been with fillon bitch. The only difference is that fillon was not hiding it at all.
Yeah he also went in cali or so to ask money which isnt allowed during a campaign. or before it starts, i dont remember.
My vote would have went to asselineau the only one for frexit.

I guess a lot of people does not understand why so much strikes in france. guess what we dont like austerity.
remember 1936/1968 or even french revolution in a way ? yeah thats why we are a model, and countries will follow us.

Some stupid people from the other side of atlantic might not understand my point, it does not matter anyways;
save your time from quoting me bitches, because :

french people just awakend from a long sleep, beware fucking american companies

Macron is the people's champion. Everyone loves him.
No way anyone would vote against a controversial right wing figure in a fruity leftist country.
Just don't look outside or check his approval rating.
