One positive about Brexit: British punk (and music in general) seems to be on the rise in terms of quality.

Bands like IDLES and Shame made some great music this year.

two young and beautiful norwegian women went backpacking alone in Morocco, with predictable results;

Chilling footage circulating on social media shows a woman screaming while a man cuts her neck with what appears to be a kitchen knife.
During the video, the perpetrators cry out: "It's Allah's will" and are heard saying: "This is revenge for our brothers in Hajine in Syria. These are your heads, enemy of God."
A separate clip published today on Twitter appeared to show four men suspected of murdering the tourists pledging their alliance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
One of them holds a knife as they sit in front of a black and white flag.
While the video hasbeen verified by intelligence analysts, official authorities are yet to comment on the footage.

Even by the normal standards of expecting white women to be raped and murdered when alone in an arab country, being decapitated while alive and conscious adds that little extra pinch of horrifying

Ah, well I mean you can't stop living. I'd still hike there. Morocco has been largely separated from the recent violence. Unfortunate as it is beautiful.

Iv always wanted to own a villa style home or condo in Morocco.

i cant get over the fact, that somehow there are still people, who think its a good idea to wander around alone in a place that is probably one of the most dangerous on the planet for them
so many wonderful places to go, but i gotta pick the one full of terrorists, where unveiled women in particular are considered fair game

maybe these two horrible deaths can at least be a warning

Yeah 2018 has been a bad year for common sense. Tide pods. Sneaking off to remote islands to bring them Jesus... Etc

Morocco has been quite safe for tourists over the years. While anywhere near the ME has its dangers, it has been one with minimal acts of violence against tourists.

in the mainstream tourist areas its safe enough, but whatever lies outside of them is an entirely different story

If I had to avoid every place that could be dangerous I couldn't leave my house.

The truth is that, how gruesome and horrible this incident is, it really should not weigh much into whether you should travel to Morocco or not. Currently there are only very few countries you should avoid in their entirety, mostly countries like Congo, Yemen, Syria etc.

And in general I'd say touristy areas are far more dangerous (danger from other people that is). It's way easier to target those for terrorists or other ne'er-do-wells. You don't see pick-pocket warnings or prostitution scams in rural areas.
