not a public figure of any kind in any field that doesn't have vile garbage hurled at them every single day including terrible threats

The FBI has had a practice of not releasing info ahead of midterms to avoid looking like they're trying to influence the elections. Trump should adopt the same practice. This birthright citizenship announcement can't help, could hurt, and could have waited. God knows what focus group is responsible for them thinking this is favorable publicly but i think they're way off on this one. Poor timing for little to no upside.

The economy and immigration are the reasons we have a Republican populist in office. Immigration remains a huge issue that voters are concerned about and whether you agree with this move or not, it’s aimed at addressing that issue.

Instead of crying about trump in usual fashion why not be respectful to those voters that clearly said this is an issue?
