Maybe I'm just a dick, but seeing a bunch of non-religious media people retweet this stuff is cringe worthy. They're skeptics right up until someone famous dies.

being a non-religious media doesnt mean that all your readers are as well.
and there's nothing wrong with indulging yourself in beautiful, comforting fantasies, even if you know/belief that they are just that: fantasies.

I can certainly understand why you would feel that way.

When I say I'm pro life it's not a political thing to me it's a personal feeling and obligation to respect so once someone passes it should be about the good things that can be said or just not say anything at all and let people remember and mourn how they wish

There is also a difference between genuinely not believing or practicing and being against those that do. I'm not against those that do so perhaps some in the media are the same way
