Sucks all you have is recycled (and poor) rhetoric that doesn't recognize that this is the freest Americans have ever been, poor memes, and dogmatism, when our side has things like data, research, empiricism, and science on our side.

Social security is obviously a success. Regressives hated that at first, too.

The ACA, like social security, started off rocky, but has been doing moderately well a couple years after its start. 16 million insured and counting.

The ACA is a staggering success, even this early into the process.

Just the 80/20 rule alone has already saved millions and will really start driving down costs soon. The 80/20 rule means that 80% of your premium must be spent on your health care or on programs designed to improve health care, with 20% going to administrative costs (it is 85/15 in large markets).

Can you believe these private sector bloodsuckers were charging over 20% of premiums in administrative costs of what Medicare and Medicaid delivers with 1.5% administrative costs? Sometimes they were taking 50%+ in administrative costs  They should be handcuffed.

Lol, talk about welfare.

The Rate Review Panel is also another amazing addition. Already has prevented untold rate hikes by making companies post their reason for raising rates over 10% and a panel gets to rule on it.

An approximate 7% savings at best. If that is what the 80/20 rule actually accomplishes.

Prohibitions contrary to desire in an economy tend to do the opposite of what is intended because it changes how the players play the 'game'.

More free in some ways, more slavish and depraved in others.

ie: Corporate welfare, mandated healthcare, nonsensical self defense laws, silly standardized tests in schools.

freedom is about actual freedom to act rather than an abstract freedom that is not livable and real. a theoretical freedom that is divorced from actuality is no freedom at all.
to realise one's capabilities is freedom. an abstract, ghost-like freedom divorced from the material is libertarianism.
