I had American BBQ in Dublin a few weeks ago (it was actual American BBQ, beef ribs, pulled pork, chicken). It was pretty good but it did not live up to the massive hype that it gets online. Yeah the meat is tender and you get the smoky flavor, and there's loads of meat on your plate. I'd still rather have boeuf bourguignon than bbq beef ribs I think. Just as tender and a bit more complex in the flavor profile. Could of course be that that place isn't that great but it was very well reviewed online.

never had boeuf bourguignon tho!
