So your argument is that Trump cares deeply about unfair sentences and just happened to single out a clear example of corruption to express it?
I didn't express any such opinion or posit any explanation for this set of Trump's pardons, only pointed out how your explanation is square peg round hole.

Blagojevich's wife has been on Fox News for years. Trump commuted his sentence because his attack on American institutions doesn't fall neatly into some ideological line.
That doesn't really fit your description of people who have Trump's ear. All the reporting on a potential Blagojevich pardon over the past few years has repeatedly said that while Patti Blagojevich has been very vocal about it, all of Trump's advisers and lobbyists and GOP allies have been in his ear opposing it. And he's certainly not loyal to Trump or a political ally himself, being before his time and holding no power.
There are many reasons to pardon Blagojevich and they might indeed be an example of unfair politically-motivated sentencing that Trump is all too sympathetic towards, a desire to prime a stage for further use of pardons/commutations on politically charged cases like Roger Stone, and a deep skepticism towards the establishment and judiciary in such political cases and preference for leniency in crimes without clear harms. You can try to rationalize it along ideology, politics, strategy or just pretend he's erratic. I don't think with such a superficial view into the decision making I can claim I know the answer
