Absolute majority. Sounds like you still have much to learn.

Given that Hakeem Jeffries has received a simple majority in every vote thus far, and is not Speaker yet, it's a pretty safe assumption that Cam knows what majority is required.

It was a wish, in case you didn't get it but I seriously hope you did ...
After a certain count the speaker goes to the majority. When you see this mess the first thing coming in mind is: this party (republican) isnt unified at all.
I guess we could advocate about some kind of "internal freedom of speech" but these pseudo-republicans are more likely populists who are working for themselves.
Bipartism is terrible. Globally not a big deal anyway, still a growing proof of weakness.

I'm not sure, but at this point I'm waiting for Alex Jones to pop his head out and say that McCarthy is part of a Satanist new world order that wants to turn everyone gay, by putting the same chemical they used on the frogs, into the drinking water supply.

Then a bunch of republicans start doing the phony pearl clutching thing and elect somebody else.

That will have to wait until tomorrow though, as it seems that some of the US house reps are getting sleepy after this record long session of 4 whole votes in one day.

10th vote looks like a nail into the coffin:

Yeah once they hit 6 "other" votes it's over.

Even if they did come to some kind of deal, they would have to get Ken Buck back from the proctologist or whatever doctor he went to go see.

I could totally see those 19 republicans trying to troll and wait until January 6

Remember when the “squad” threatened to do the same thing to Pelosi? I find this applaudable at least the house freedom caucus is actually doing what they said they’d do unlike the “squad” who fell into the swamp and came out with freebies
