What pisses me off the most is that Biden did not instruct bombing of our leftover weapons and technology. Insane.

Weak ass men; both the ANA and the civilians. Then again, I agree. Afghan and the cultures/values aren't worth fighting for.

All that doesn't matter. People pulling the strings wanted these resources over there to be transported over here.

Everything else ($ invested, Lives lost...) are variables to them.

Was the profit good? Yes.

Proceed

Countries lost money. People will pay more as tax. That, they don't give a shit. Warfare = $$$$$$$$$

"Bush started the Iraq war to fund the MIC" was such a common trope in the early-mid 2000s that I can't believe you don't remember it.

The situation Eisenhower was warning about does not exist today. The role of the military in the 1950s to 1960s, post-WWII and in the grips of the Cold War is so far removed from where we are today as to be irrelevant.

yes it does, those companies have significant influence on american foreign policy, and it always results the same basic "mistakes" and "miscalculations" being made in multiple trillion dollar conflicts, that objectively only have one indisputable "winner": the military-industrial complex. only a gullible idiot or an establishment shill would pretend that isn't true, or pretend this is just fine or acceptable.

✅ Southern border wide open
✅ CCP influenced South American cartels and smugglers on standby and on the ready
✅ CCPs precious rare earth minerals in AFG
✅ CIA operated opium harvesting in AFG
❌ U.S. gov (including CIA, probably some parts of the military) transporting and protecting the product (fail❓ TBD..)

Appears we're witnessing the beginning of the end of government's cash crop.

I definitely remember pointing out the massive contracts that went to Bush and Cheney friendly companies.

It's also kind of silly to think that having donors and connections to companies that benefit from such a war doesn't enter into the calculations for starting it.

There's a reason it was a trope, and it's because the bulk of it is true. We get into wars mostly for economic reasons, and part of those economic reasons is to subsidize the MIC.

Conspiracy theorist.
