The large tech companies present a pretty big dilemma. You'd think a large company would want to remain impartial, so as to not run afoul of consumers, but the ideological bent of their employees, middle management, and (some) executives is almost overwhelming.

i think they have tried to stay impartial for a long time. in the recent weeks or couple of months, however, they have thrown that out of the window and are going full partisan. i expect them to tone it down after the midterms to avoid ramifications and alienating right-leaning customers. ramping up the partisan censorship and nudging is obviously most efficient before big elections.

let me guess: true leftists who are talking about the 1% and the downsides of capitalism get censored - fake leftists in the mold of "free trade open borders political correctness everyting goes socially" get a pass on any hate speech, incitement of violence or pure nonsense they distribute on social media.

I just tried it, searching for just the term "blexit" on google, bing, yahoo and duckduckgo.

on google, the site showed up on page 3. on the other 3 search engines, it didnt show up at all until I had enough and stopped going even deeper down the search results.

so, I couldnt replicated what was reported in this article.
either the ""mistake"" was on the other search engines who had "failed" to block the blexit site when this article was written, and have it blacklisted now.
or there is no active censorship on this one, and the blexit site just has poor search engine optimization.

I really dont know how or why the author got it as the first result on yahoo/bing/duckduckgo.

Next month im getting rid of all of my google products. Facebook was the first to implode, google will be next.
