Also, Texas has some crazy laws.

One time my grandpa came to visit, and he was carrying a shotgun and a handgun in the passenger seat of his car. I asked him if he had a concealed license to carry and he said no.

So I asked what would happen if you got pulled over?

And he said, "Old Texas law. As long as you are cross at least two counties or stay somewhere overnight while travelling, you can carry a firearm inside your vehicle without a concealed handgun license."

I said no way. So I looked it up and sure enough, apparently it's an old case law in Texas. Non-binding, and cops can basically enforce it how they want to, but still. Texas is amazing.
