I find it funny that people are writing articles that Trump will say something really offensive and disqualify himself. Newsflash, that's how he opened his campaign. This isn't the Democrat primary where saying stupid shit will get you called out. As long as you say stupid shit in a strong manly tone your numbers in the Republican party can only go up.
I'm torn on this. I don't think one gaffe would end him but I do think odds are the novelty of his candidacy will wear off over time, especially when he's no longer receiving equal airtime to the other 16 combined. There are just better options no matter what Republicans are looking for: Walker is better at actually implementing conservative proposals. Carson is a more "pure" outsider. Rubio is a better change agent. Kasich is far more electable.
Trump is at least finally taking the basic steps to set up an infrastructure, even if he's still lying to people about it, but he still needs to do a lot more. Going from 20% to 30% (and holding it) makes him a viable primary candidate but there's still a lot left for him to do in the next 3 months.
