Some government employee that wants to setup some grift by funneling money into XYZ that ultimately benefits themselves or some of their own interests would think twice, because there's now risk of being exposed and ousted and maybe publicly shamed. I keep saying, it's something every single American should be for. Most of us work hard for our money and say no to vacations or some other luxury to save because we operate with limited resources. We should expect our government to act in a fiduciary way and act with some level of accountability understanding that wasting dollars is ultimately bad. It doesn't matter if you don't like Musk or Trump or fill in the blank, i want my tax dollars to be used for good things and not wasted. If it's wasted just lower my taxes and i can find way better uses for it vs funding Politico or funding DEI in some rand country.
