Then prayer becomes a placebo with extra steps. There is no higher power when you are talking about placebo like effects. If there was everyone would be cured of every illness. Unfortunately prayer has the same result or even lower chance working than a placebo its safe to say its all in your head.

You have done prayer yourself. We all have.
When you were a kid and you made a birthday wish what was directing that wish?
You probably noticed that if the wish is within the limitations of your body/mind/soul then it can manifest.
How do you explain that manifestation then? Like with the placebo how would you explain that manifestation?
For us Christians we classify this as coming from a higher power aka God. But for someone like you I'm curious how you would word it yourself?

An intentionally designed universe could only be verified to be designed in comparison to the opposite. Since I assume you, just like the rest of us, only knows of this one universe you have nothing to compare it to, right?

So why dont you just stop calling people silly if they dont draw conclusions out of thin air like you do?

I didn't call him silly. I can't speak to his character. I've never met the guy. What I can speak to is his actions and statements.

These aren't my conclusions either. Science, math, and physics all back that up. It's simply truth there is intentional design in our universe. Now factor in that scale and apply how massive of a creator we have behind it all.

Then you apply Jesus. Proven, reliable, and trustworthy history and scripture and through personal experience being shown God is real.

I can now speak on what is fact and what is a matter of opinion. So I'll continue to speak to those facts, thank you.

What manifestation are you talking about? Finding your car keys under the couch or materializing them in the palm of your hand?

Prayer/ wishing doesn't work there is nothing to explain.
