looking at the change from just two quarters is ridiculous though.

WI, tied for 3rd last. People in my state: "why did these dumb libtards vote out Scott Walker, he did so much for our state."

i'm no anti-Walker guy, but he was the most bland ineffectual governor i can think of, he's been scared to put his name on anything since getting protested in fear that his name alone would draw more protests. The voters shut him up into the capital where all he could do was sit back and benefit from the upturned economy. no regulation shifts, no entitlement reform, only teachers union drew his ire and not the overbloated prison guards union. and worst of all he got cucked in his own seat, Dane county decriminalized pot all around him while he sat back and let states on our every border legalize and profit from it. his two legacies are a teachers union temporary pay freeze and shutting down a transit system paid for by the fed in revenge of recount efforts. na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye!

Perhaps some of the states in the South and Midwest also just had more room to grow?

Perhaps it's simply ridiculous and bullshit to try to draw conclusions about the economic development from the results of just one quarter?!

Show me the same chart for the 2016-2018 timeframe, and we can talk.

i think that was overall his biggest effect, but in terms of legacy i'd expect his replacement Tony Evers (former superintendent of the state) to make immediate plans to rollback the union measures walker pushed through. Walker's fairly unpopular so evers will have Trump-phase where he publicly axes anything with walker's name on it like Trump did Obama.

then again i could be dead wrong, and as a superintendent, evers could appreciate the measures and how it helped Evers with the state's education budget in a down economy.
