It's an inevitable problem when news organizations react in real time to events. I'm not saying it's a good thing... but it's not really that big of a deal.

The right vs left comparison fails because we've never had a president before who is so willing to be hyperbolic and issue threats.

the historian in me feels you're selling Teddy and A Jackson short, but the lack of a real time platform renders the comparison moot. plenty of senators and staffers felt their wrath in real time tho, old hickory didnt fuck around with that stick.

if we're considering going the Starcraft route and putting criminals straight into the spaceforce as marines and firebats then fuck yeah. just make sure that the firebats are the violent offenders, because having only melee ground range, and 2 tanks of gas strapped to your back, they dont last long. until the xpac brings medics at least.
