why wouldnt she want to live in such a quarter? doesnt she claim to be the spokesperson for the exact kind of people who live in such areas?
Most of the politicians and government workers don't actually live in DC. They live in the surrounding counties of Maryland and Virginia, where many of the nation's richest counties are. Places like Fairfax, Loudoun, Montgomery, Arlington.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-income_counties_in_the_United_StatesIt's been a long-standing issue that many people have had for a while with the government: they're really good at taking care of themselves. During the last recession, these areas were relatively untouched compared to the rest of the country.
That said, though, not everywhere in the DC metro region is expensive as hell. She just doesn't want to live in an apartment next to the coloreds, I guess.
