You clearly don't even know who or what the NRA is. They were famous for their support of the NICS background check service, and worked hand in hand with Law Enforcement and legislators in it's development.

What they oppose is "Extended background checks" that want to look at everything from medical conditions to school grades and speeding tickets, none of which have any bearing on your constitutional right to own a firearm any more than they have bearing on your right to vote.

Likewise any form of National Registration, as firearm ownership is not a privilege, it's a right. The government does not have a right to know what personal property you own. :)

I wouldnt get my hopes up too high though if I were you; Democrats tend to underperform badly in Georgia runoffs. Particularly if Trump is gone by then. Dems will have a really hard time turning out all the low propensity blacks again once the big bad boogeyman is gone.

I'm simply showing you that the logic does not stand. I think ID's should be required. I know for a fact that the voter ID laws that have been implemented were not simply, "voter must show ID" but a plethora of bullshit. WHICH IS WHY MOST OF THEM HAVE BEEN STRUCK DOWN IN COURT.
